Copy-editing quotations

Copy-editing means the correction of grammar, punctuation and typographical errors, and can also include advice on how a manuscript is organised. Our standard manuscript assessments include copy-editing of the first chapter only.

Copy editing should only be done when the manuscript is in final draft stage. It is not suitable for early drafts.

If you would like us to edit your manuscript, please contact us to discuss your requirements. A quote for our editing service comes with an edited sample of your work, so you can see what is involved.

To obtain a quote, we ask you to pay the fee and provide the first 10,000 words, plus an estimate of the final word count for the entire manuscript.

Once we receive the quote request, we will mark up a sample and produce a quote for your consideration.

If you decide to go ahead and have the manuscript copy edited, you will need to send the entire manuscript to us, plus the full fee minus the quotation fee and the submission form. We will then complete the work. Note that the quotation fee is deducted from the final price.

If you do not decide to go ahead, we will return the marked up sample only and retain the quotation fee.
