Bedlam Books, a potted history
Emma Hegarty and Marie Alafaci met while studying in the Associate Diploma of Professional Writing & Editing at Holmesglen TAFE in 1995.
They had both worked in other fields but had decided to follow their passions – writing and editing. During their time at Holmesglen, they were impressed by the quality of ideas of their fellow students and were often asked to read and critique their peers’ writing. They began to think about how they could help authors to improve their writing and reach a commercial audience. Enter Bedlam Books.
